Port Richey is a dual community with New Port Richey. Both are a popular retirement community and have all kinds of recreational activities for every age. Those activities include swimming in the calm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, boating, canoeing, sailing and fishing. Many golf courses are available in the surrounding area. It is almost 3 sq. miles and has a population just over 3000. It has several parks that offer boat ramps to access the Gulf of Mexico. Starkey Wilderness Park is just east of Port Richey and offers a variety of outdoor activities for everyone.
